Toner, a Refresh, or a Color Correction?

If you like the lightness and placement but the tone feels too warm, a toner or gloss may be enough. Uneven lightness, dark bands, or layers of old color can need more involved work. Not every correction needs lightener, and a toning shampoo cannot even out every color problem. We will choose the service after looking at your starting point.

How We Plan Your Correction

1. Tell me the whole hair story. Include salon and home color, lightener, henna, color removers, color-depositing products, and chemical services. Older color can still matter if it is on your lengths.
2. Look at the starting point together. We will discuss your current color and condition, your inspiration, and the upkeep you are comfortable with. A strand test may help show how your hair responds before a larger change.
3. Agree on the next step. I will explain what we can reasonably work toward, the time to reserve, and your estimate. If the hair needs a more gradual approach, we will talk through that too.

Time, Pricing, and Realistic Expectations

Correction is priced hourly on a sliding scale, with a personalized estimate based on your starting point, length, density, and the work involved. A tone adjustment and years of dark permanent color are different appointments. I will give you a clear estimate before we begin and talk through anything that changes along the way.

Some corrections fit into one longer visit; others need several appointments. I cannot promise a particular shade in one session before assessing your hair. If it already feels fragile, tell me. We may need to adjust the goal, pause further lightening, or discuss care before doing more color.

Before Your Consultation

• Send clear, unfiltered photos in natural light showing your roots, mids, and ends.
• Share inspiration photos and tell me what you like about each one.
• List the products and chemical services you remember, with approximate dates or product photos if you have them.
• Tell me your budget, timing, and how much maintenance works for you.

Hold off on another home color-removal or bleach attempt until we have talked. Another round of processing can change what we have to work with.

Looking After Your Color

Your plan includes what happens between visits. We will talk about washing, conditioning, heat protection, and whether a toner refresh or another correction session makes sense. Ask before adding purple shampoo or another color-depositing product; the right choice depends on the tone we are maintaining. If your hair needs extra care, we can discuss hair and scalp treatments as part of the plan.
